Day 103 – From Gambling to Hobbies

ギャンブル

So, what do I do with the time I used to spend on gambling?

The answer is — hobbies.

I’m not the type of person who immerses myself deeply in one thing,

but when I feel like it, I go for a walk, work out, or play games.

I also take voice training lessons twice a month,

and play pickleball with my coworkers a few times each month. 💪

At first glance, gambling might look like a hobby too.

But once you become addicted, as I did,

it stops being a hobby and turns into something you simply can’t stop. 😭

So what’s the difference between my old life with gambling and my current one?

It’s the difference between loss and fulfillment.

When you lose at gambling, you’re left with the pain of losing both money and time.

Even when you win, the excitement is only temporary —

it doesn’t bring true satisfaction or a lasting sense of accomplishment. 💔

Hobbies, on the other hand, often cost little or nothing at all,

yet they give you a deep sense of fulfillment.

They fill your heart without leaving a feeling of loss —

and that, I believe, is the true beauty of having a hobby. ✨

What kind of hobbies do you enjoy?

Feel free to share them in the comments!

(By the way, yesterday’s post was mistakenly labeled as Day 103 — my apologies!)
